Wordstorm Society of the Arts is partnering with Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL) to bring you a six-week long immersive writing experience!

Writers of both fiction and poetry are invited to register for this interactive writing circle led by poet and author, Richard Stevenson.  In weekly two-hour online sessions, you’ll learn tips for improving your work, have an opportunity to share and develop your writing, and get to socialize with other writers.

About Richard Stevenson:

Richard Stevenson recently retired from a 30-year gig teaching English, Business Composition, Technical and Creative Writing for Lethbridge College in southern Alberta and moved to Nanaimo.  He has published thirty-one  full-length works, including a CD of jazz and poetry, a novel, and a  memoir, and has recently turned his attention to speculative  literature.  His most recent books include a long poem sequence, Rock, Scissors, Paper: The Clifford Olson Murders (2016) and a collection of haikai poetry,  A Gaggle of Geese (2017).  Forthcoming titles include  a trilogy of cryptid, ET and Fortean lore, Cryptid Shindig: A Big Book of Creeps and Critters, a stand-alone sequel,  An Abominable Swamp Slob Named Bob, and  a lyric/haikai collection for children, Action Dachshund!
