About the Event
Daniel Scott has released his long poem, 'Travels with Athoma', a journey taken by a boy between his familiar world and a world often unnoticed and forgotten - the realm of trees and herbs, crows and eagles. Guided by an older and wiser woman, Athoma, the boy learns to centre himself with the breath of the planet.
Here is a poem, an essay, an entire voyage that shows how even a child can learn to ask,
“How do we humans /not know / how alive, sentient / it all is?” – Kate Braid, author of 'Elemental' and 'Hammer & Nail'
